Kristin’s Ink

About Kristin’s Ink

Kristin’s Ink was created out of passion; not just for writing but for life! It was time for me to follow a dream that would catapult me into a world where the opportunities are endless and your future is what you make of it. I was hoisted out of  ”corporate America” and left to my own devices to blossom into a really, really good writer. Needless to say, I like a good challenge and I like to see the fruits of my labor. So…here we are!

I believe in the power of writing. It impacts, educates and inspires people. Secondly, I also believe in people. If you put those two things together - you’ve set up a marriage of motivation that can change the world. Have you ever read something and were so moved that it affected the way you thought and behaved from that moment on? You see, that’s what I try to accomplish, on some level, with each client that comes to me for assistance with writing. I understand that they have goals and expectations to move their readers to take action.

It is this mentality and fervor that sets me apart from so many other writers out there. It’s like recording your voicemail message with a smile on your face - when the person hears it on the other end, they can tell that person was smiling as they sound happy and eager. The other side of that token is recording your voicemail without a smile - it reeks of tedium and lack of motivation. I like to think of myself as the person recording their voicemail with a smile on their face. Quality, passion and dedication are reflected in my work because of the passion I have to write and I know that  passion creates quality, quality creates value and value creates appreciation.

As for Kristin, of Kristin’s Ink…

Kristin - Founder of Kristin's Ink

You know, I asked myself, “Kristin, what would you write about yourself to help people understand, if just for a moment, who you are and what you do?” So, I thought about it and I thought about it and this is what I came up with.

Basically, I’m a regular gal that loves to express herself.

One. Word. At. A. Time.

I’ve been told that my writing is engaging, real and fun. That’s how all of this came to be. I have a zest for life and find that I am always enriched through my experiences. My mind has a difficult time comprehending this vast universe and the diversity within it, but I’m in love with the complexity of it all; which is why people and situations are fascinating to me. I am astounded at the strength of the human spirit and it humbles me.

I hope you enjoy this little site, my little world, shameless propaganda or whatever you want to call it. And maybe you’ll enjoy it enough to come back again sometime. And in the words of my mother’s dear neighbor, Chris, “come back when you can’t stay so long!”

All my best,

Kristin

Kick the habit already, Obama.

Blog Keepin' it Real

This is amusing to me - people writing in to advise President Obama about what he can do to set the cancer stick down. But, you know, I also think it’s good and healthy - people trying to get our new President to quit smoking. We want him to be around for at least the [...]

Yahoo! Answers makes me laugh

Things that make you go "huh?"

A fellow Digg friend of mine posted this and it made me laugh. I have noticed that those who post on Yahoo! Answers can be a bit overwhelmed (and that’s putting it nicely) when spelling and sentence structure enter the equation.
I hope it makes you laugh (and feel somewhat awkward) as much as it [...]

Hiatus = death in the blog world

Yes, it is true. I took a major hiatus from my blog to tend to some personal matters. So, what’s a blogger to do? I know, I know, surely if I were dedicated enough this would be a mute point. The reality is that sometimes life gives you a swift kick in the pants and–BAM–you’re [...]

Displaced Dogs Need Help

Humans are not the only species suffering because of the plummeting economy. Canines are too. It’s a sad, sad situation. People are having to make the decision to surrender their dogs to rescue groups and shelters all over the country…and many of these organizations do have the room nor the money to accommodate these displaced [...]

Sears Tower Gets a New Name

Move over Sears Tower, there’s a new guy in town. The London insurance mogul, Willis Group Holdings has decided to exercise their naming rights. Yes, the Sears Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world will be renamed the Willis Tower. It just doesn’t have the same ring to it…or maybe it could have [...]
